Many of you have probably heard many times the claim that 95% of beginners lose in Forex and only the remaining 5% succeed. The common pathway of all beginners start with a demo account and then spread by opening an account with real outcomes that can be positive or negative.
A simple survey shows how long the average traders try trading on a demo account first to switch to open a real account.
Although it would be wrong to say that these are exactly the results that demonstrate the theory of the "95% versus 5%", the resulting data, however, very interesting.
Here are the results:
Traders who have decided to invest real money, after a period ranging from 1 to 6 months of demo trading accounts for 68% of all respondents, while 17% up to about 1 year and 6% said it was remained in the demo for 2 years or more. Only 8% say they leave immediately without the need for real in the initial practice. Let's see how many of us succeed in the Forex
If you chose to open a live Forex account after 1 or 6 months of demo trading, your chances of successfully manage a live account are quite slim. With rare exceptions, there is talk of a majority of Forex traders. The reason why we have come to this verdict is because no matter how much you study the Forex market every day, 6 months is too short to have all the necessary experience and absorb the wealth of information on Forex Trading, in order to start to operate successfully. Learners who were actually willing to devote approximately 1 year to demo trading have gained some initial experience, which has allowed us to better understand the mechanisms that move the market. These operators are more likely to correctly handle a live account, but would need much more time to be able to achieve stable results. Their risk of losing the investment is still high, so, unless you consider at least another year of practice and study can be added to our initial group of 68% of the risk. Total would be about 85% now.
Again, why are we so strict about the verdict?
In any field professionalism is never achieved in a timely manner. Students study for 5-6 years in universities in order to start a profession, a sport champion working on her body for years before receiving his first gold medal. Learn to invest in Forex in one year will not make us financially independent.
The category "no need to demo" was voted by retailers who have opted for the immediate opening of real account in Forex, while some operators had probably already open real accounts. This category has been included to help maintain a certain quality of voting.
And finally we have the remaining 6% of traders that provided for a period of practice for 2 years or more before going into real change. This small group of traders has the highest potential to do well and achieve its financial targets in the Forex. We can only add here a well-known wisdom: "Success in anything you do is hard work, continuous learning and passion for the choices made."
What 's the end of this recommendation?
If you are reflected in the group by 85%, you should simply continue to practice, to accompany your live trading, if you have already opened a real account.
If you belong to the remaining 6% of retailers, go ahead and follow your trading program.
With some exceptions, there will be no quick profits in the forex and financial miracle.
Practicing means to test your skills of Forex trading and is required as long as is necessary. But we must not forget the live trading! The live trading (real) lets you know the real challenges in the Forex. Many Forex traders confirm that after trading with real money, had to revise their strategies and opinions about Forex Trading.
Warning!Take your time with your forex broker first live account, but you trade wisely. If your negotiating skills is not so great to handle large funds easily, do not invest much in your account the first time. Test your skills by managing a small account with lots as small as possible, so that your balance is not affected much, even if your first attempts at negotiation are mostly at a loss. Find a Broker also allows you to open a mini account with small lots.
